Microfiche plans for almost any WAGR locomotives or rolling stock are available at the state archives office, adjacent to the state library, Perth. They have scanners so you can get digital copies whilst viewing. Handy for getting plans into CAD etc...

The archives office have no intention to for digitize the collection of microfiche which means they will slowly degrade and be lost. Scan what you want and share it!

I was there recently perving on plans of the V class....

You should be able to get plans for old WAGR steam locomotives from Rail Heritage WA. Their web site is here: http://www.railheritagewa.org.au/

My first experience on the 'Spirit of the West' - a delayed Valentine's dinner - remains the most romantic date I have ever been on. The fact it was organised by my exwife (my girlfriend at the time) astounds me even more - she wasn't that romantic - but she hit a home run with this one!
We repeated the experience a year later, and also treated both sets of parents at another time. A truly magical experience - staff, location, food... All brilliant. Bring it back - charge a little more to make it financially worthwhile - Perth needs something like this!
