Crowd over the town.
Looking over the town towards the crowds. Attendance at the show was outstanding - nearly 14,000 people in three days!

Redwintul Park West station.
The town station “Redwintul Park West”. The name is made up from parts of the surnames of the main builders of the layout.

Dam and bridge.
Wide shot of the feature dam and bridges, also showing the numerous pine trees of the forrested end of the layout.

Dam and bridges close-up.
Closer view of the dam, bridges and hydro-electric generator buildings.

Stone viaduct.
Further along from the dam, the front track passes over a long stone viaduct, bridging a marshy inlet.

Rock face.
Wide shot showing the viaduct on the left and the long rock face that dominates the desert area of the layout.

Rock face close-up.
Closer view of the rock face, with double stacked containers and a VIA Rail passenger service passing in front.

The mountainous ore body that dominates this end of the layout.

Quarry.
The ore body being quarried for track ballast.

Pine plantation.
The top-rear of the ore body mountain is used as a pine plantation for the nearby paper and timber mills. Note the trees in different stages of re-growth.

Tullis Russel - The Papermakers.
The “Tullis Russel - The Papermakers” paper mill, complete with branded wagons.

Tullis Mill No. 1.
“Tullis Mill No. 1” saw mill. Obviously the Tullis family has significant interests in the area.

Timber and paper mills.
Another view of the saw and paper mills, showing the loading and unloading tracks, with the main line between them.

Set-up track module.
A general shot from the rear of the layout showing the crowds and the set-up track module installed behind the paper mill.

Crowd interest in the bullet train.
The 16 car Japanese bullet train attracted a lot of interest as it went flying around the layout!

Weepy Junction.
"Weepy Junction" at the rear of the layout. These shunting modules didn't really work very well at the show - they were too far from the public for them to be able to see properly, and they also severely restricted access to the main layout. As a result we have decided not to exhibit these layout together again, unless we can do so in a different physical arrangement.
